The future of media is decentralized

Podcaster with microphone and headphones recording content on a laptop, symbolizing the rise of decentralized media and community driven reporting.

We are transitioning from mainstream media to social media, ultimately reaching our destination: decentralised media, which encompasses decentralised reporting, sourcing, hosting, distribution, payments, bounties, predictions, reputation, verification, consensus, and truth.

We need a better truth machine. The answer is not a new media company. It’s a new media community with fundamentally different premises: global, one hundred people part-time, not one person full-time; scientific depth over narrative. This kind of media would be representative of the people because it is the people.

Just like the open-source culture transformed closed-source software corporations into something more ethical, more open and more commercially viable, decentralized media would strive to do the same.

The technologist builds the decentralized solution.

ACCRECENT enables all healthcare professionals to contribute as authors in a team, with one physician serving as a team member. Patients and caregivers also contribute to the content. As Balaji states, ‘the right to voice is as important as the right to vote’.
