Pichai backs the Digital India initiative
|Pichai lauded the Digital India initiative as this will get people in rural areas online. Low cost of bandwidth, offline strategy, affordable phones will connect more people. It focuses on connecting the 1.2 billion people in India. It has received tremendous support in India and in Silicon Valley. Some of the Google products will work on low bandwidth and even offline. They will make the web accessible in Indic languages, provide low cost Chromebooks to Indian schools, investing in core infrastructure and affordable smartphones with Android.
CMEPEDIA makes grateful use of these facilities to reach as many health care students and professionals as possible in rural areas.
